A serving plate turned by hand on a lathe from reclaimed hardwood offcuts — teak, rosewood and jackfruit among them — rescued from furniture workshops that would otherwise have discarded them.
The face is built from long strips of different reclaimed timbers set side by side. Every plate is a different arrangement, because every plate comes from different timber.

Looking after it
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry straight away. Keep it out of the dishwasher and don't leave it standing in water. Rub in a food-safe oil every few months and the colours will deepen rather than fade.
Because the wood is salvaged, grain, colour and figure vary from plate to plate. Yours will not look exactly like the photograph.
